In August 2023, 1st Chilwell and Attenborough Scouts were joined by 1st Toton and 2nd Toton Scouts for our week long Summer Camp in Scotland. We left Nottingham at 6am Monday morning, taking 3 minibuses, a van, a trailer and multiple support cars on the 350 mile journey north to The Craigs Campsite in West Lothian (near Edinburgh).
We had the most amazing, action packed week, with non stop activities for 5 straight days. Over the week our Scouts had opportunities to do low ropes over water, hike up hills, spend a day in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival, go to Cosmo world buffet for tea, do lots of water sports, see the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel, visit the local zoo and host a Scottish party with a local group where we wore kilts, ate haggis, neeps & tatties and had a ceilidh.
